Flowerstone Family Health Clinic is a Non-Profit, community-focused clinic registered under Flowerstone Health Society, providing Primary Health Care since 2020. Our Nurse Practitioners focus on Preventive Care, Chronic Disease Management, and helping patients of all ages live healthier lives.

Accessible Booking

Booking an appointment is easy, You can book online or call us at your convenience. We use secure OceanMD software to ensure your data remains confidential. At this time, we accept patients through the Health Connect Registry only. We are unable to accommodate walk-in visits.

Your Questions, Answered

Whether you’re new to our clinic or already a patient, these answers are here to help you feel informed and confident about your care at Flowerstone Family Health Clinic.

To join Flowerstone Family Health Clinic, Oceanside residents without a current primary care provider can register through the provincial Health Connect Registry. Patients are assigned to a Nurse Practitioner through a pooled intake process. Whenever possible, we accommodate families together with the same provider to ensure continuity of care and a personalized healthcare experience. Please note that once a primary care provider has been assigned, it cannot be changed. 

At Flowerstone Family Health Clinic, your care is supported by a collaborative team of Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Clinical Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, and Medical Office Assistants. Working together, they provide coordinated, compassionate, and personalized care tailored to your needs 

At Flowerstone Family Health Clinic, you’ll be assigned a primary Nurse Practitioner who knows your health history and supports your long-term wellbeing. Once assigned, patients cannot change providers. Our team-based care approach means you may also see other professionals Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Clinical Pharmacists, and Respiratory Therapists, when their expertise is needed to provide timely and comprehensive care. 

If your provider is unavailable, another team member can assist. 

Your safety and care are our priority. If you ever feel your care is compromised, please contact clinic management directly. 

A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse with advanced university education who provides personalized, quality health care to patients and families. NPs can diagnose and treat most conditions experienced across the lifespan, which includes ordering diagnostic tests and making referrals to other health care providers or programs. Grounded in nursing, we work with you not only on treatment but also to prevent illness or chronic diseases. Depending on the health status of the patient, we work independently or in partnership with other health care professionals such as registered nurses, physicians, social workers, midwives, mental health professionals and pharmacists to keep you, your family and your community well.

Generally we do not limit the number of issues per visit and make an effort to provide as much assistance as we can to prevent you from having to return more than necessary. But some people do have complex social and/or medical needs that deserve more time than we can give in one visit. In that case, we will discuss with you which problems you feel are most urgent, and ask you to return for additional visits if needed.

No, we are not a walk-in clinic, but we do have same-day appointments. Our goal is to see you when you need to be seen. If you feel you have an urgent concern.

We offer visits over the phone if someone would like not to be seen in the clinic
